Supply Chain & Logistics
Logistics & Supply Chain are critical sectors for India, not just because India is geographically spread across over 3000 kms with an unevenly distributed population of over 1.2 billion, but also because the diversity of preferences across different parts of India, often for goods produced in a completely different region of the country. E.g. A consumer in Mumbai (Western India) has appetite for wheat grown in Punjab (North India) as well as tea coming from Assam in Eastern part of India. Moreover, Internet and reach of TV in rural parts of India has created a demand for products that were not part of the rural Indian consumers set.
